Hello, thank you for visiting site. My name is Rhonda Kacho , and I am the founder and Senior Partner of Publishing – Kacho & Marshall.

Just after my marriage broke down In 2010, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I would have never guessed such tragedy would change my life for the better.

Every month, after I had received my chemo, my mom drove 400 kilometers to my home to take care of me and my two young children. Mom still had her own things she needed to attend to, and my dad wasn’t a great bachelor. My parents realized the situation was not working, and moved me and my children into their home in Onoway. 

That same year, my sister had written and published three out of a four part series of books. When I was growing up I was a huge reader, everybody thought I would grow up to be an author. My sister Charlotte, hated English courses in school, and had never read a book until she was an adult. Then, after reading a well known series about vam2pires and werewolves, she decided to try her hand at writing.

We were all at my mom and dad’s place for family dinner one night. Charlotte was upset, she had paid a lot of money for a professional editor, yet her books were still riddled with mistakes. Before publishing the book she already had an almost occult following, but the sales were not showing it.

Being sick all I could do at the time was watch TV and read. Since I had done well in high school and college English my mother suggested that I re-edit the books. I had nothing else to do so agreed to try. At this point Charlotte had three books published. Her publisher gave us five weeks to do all the rewrites. I remember sitting with my family in A&W while they all ate and I worked on my laptop, and another time sitting in the truck until it was time for the movie to start. I made the deadline, and to my relief sales increased. In fact, in some countries, the books were in the top ten. 

I had found out what I was meant to do with my life, and Publishing Kacho & Marshall Editing was born. Throughout the years the business made many changes, added different services, hired staff, and changed names several times. However, since i was living in Onoway when it all began, I decided to keep that part of the name. Publishing Kacho & Marshall.

We have grown a lot since those early days and now offer any service an author could possibly need to successfully publish a book.
